The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team in our Years 1-6 programme. In our nurturing primary environment, you'll help build strong foundations of learning that empower tamariki to extend and challenge their potential through well-planned diverse experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, Christ-centred learning experiences aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum
Foster inclusive, culturally responsive teaching practices that celebrate each child's uniqueness
Build strong relationships with students, whānau, and the wider school community
Collaborate with our committed team to support holistic student development
Contribute to our special Christian character through authentic integration of faith and learning
Support students' social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth
About You
We're looking for someone who shares our heart for children and young people, with a genuine love for teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) or equivalent qualification
Current practising teacher certificate
Commitment to Christian education and our school's special character
Strong classroom management and pedagogical skills
Experience with the New Zealand Curriculum
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Desirable Qualities:
Experience in composite or small school settings
Understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices
Passion for innovative, student-centred learning approaches
Heart for pastoral care and student wellbeing
Willingness to contribute to the wider school community
