How do I enrol at Horizon School?
Horizon School is a state-integrated full primary school, providing education for children all over our region.
Horizon School teaches the NZ Curriculum and meets the requirements of the Ministry of Education. Our Special Character is integrated into the way we live and learn at school.
Learners from any area can enrol at Horizon School, as there is no zoning enforced as with other state schools. In fact we have children coming from as far south as Albany and Whangaparaoa, and children have come from as far north as Wellsford. Come and talk to us if you are interested in your child learning in our environment.
Horizon School is an interdenominational integrated school with a special Christian character. Our community is representative of many Christian denominations and non-churched families who desire the Christian education we offer our learners.
If you are interested in enrolling your child, or just taking a look to see if it would suit your family, here's what you can do:
1. Phone Allyson in our office 09 4256878, or email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for a time to come and make an appointment for an informal chat with Helen Pearson, the principal and then to visit classrooms.
2. Come along and observe our classes in action. We won't put on a show for you. You will see us as we are and be warmly welcomed.
3. Bring your child(ren) for a Discovery Day if this would interest you or them. They can come for the day and join in the class at their level so they get to know us and how we work. We find that, once people experience our environment, they usually want to stay!
4. Collect enrolment forms and send them in to school, make an appointment for an interview.
